Bio: Tara Vel was born in Bulgaria and grew up in Vienna/Austria since she was 3 years old, as the sandwich kid between her 2 sisters. At school she studied classical violon cello for over 10 years but did not want to take this to a higher level, her love always belonged to her voice and her compositions. As a teenager she started to write own songs ranging from pop, to classical or musical songs, listened to totally diffent kinds of music, "i tried to absorb all the music around me and loved it when I got to know someone who would show me new kinds of music". She joined several bands and built her own style, musical taste and a live as a musican on the road and loved it. Ready to work on her own songs and play with her own band, Tara just let herself inspira from everything around her, "sometimes I would thing of a song when I would do my laundry, then I would think of another song when I was 1500 feet from ground on a hiking tour, not forgetting these ideas was the hardest part". Her debut album "Crazy little business world" refers to her time in the economic business world, "after some time as a business student and after working in an office I realized that this is not the place where I belong. My decision to become a musician had nothing to do with money or becoming famous, I just realized that I need to occupie with music to live the life that I want to live, a creative and freedom loving life ". "Take your life and live it as you want, cause no one else can live it for you", thats how Taras lifestyle is all about, its pure and honest. Tara is very chameleonic which can also be heard in her music, she combines different styles from Soul, to Blues, to Jazz, Funk or balkan music. She knows what she wants but is always able to get it in a very charming way. Tara says about herselfe "Im not a feminist, but I'm tough, have my own opinion and know what I want, so call me whatever you want. Im not part of a scene, I create a own world, where there are no outsiders or insiders, just upsiders, so join me if you want!
