By entering into and participating in these drawings, each entrant agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges and warrants that he/she is eligible to participate in this Event. With acceptance of any and all prizes, the winner agrees to release Global Music Awardz, its affiliates and parent company, and their directors, employees, officers, agents, and its advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of the prize or participation in any prize-related activities, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree that California courts shall have jurisdiction over any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this Event and that venue shall be only in Santa Barbara, California. Furthermore, all winners agree that their image and/or likeness and first name and city name, may be used in the promotion of future events and/or GMA products, with no further compensation being due to said winner. Employees of GMA and its respective affiliated companies, divisions, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members, and/or those living in the same household are not eligible to participate in the drawings. GMA reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the drawings for any reason.
The committee's decision is final and binding, and by entering the competition I agree to the rules above, and subsequent revisions thereof.

Prizes will be awarded to the person or persons specified on the Upload/Entry form.
Rules and regulations and sponsorship prizes are subject to change at GMA’s discretion. GMA reserves the right to make any final decision on the judging should there be any problematic or unforeseen issues that arise. GMA reserves the right to add new (or change judges) throughout the year.


A professional recording is not needed to enter. Entries will be judged on originality, melody, composition, and lyrics (when applicable). Your songs may be entered in any of the categories specified on the site. If GMA feels as though your song/material was entered into the wrong category, GMA reserves the right to remove it from that category.


1. Each song submitted must be contestant's original work. Songs may have multiple co-writers. Contestant may submit as many songs in as many categories as he/she wishes, but each entry requires a separate MP3 file, entry form, lyric sheet, and upload fee. Upload fee is non-refundable. GMA reserves the right to change the prices of the upload fee at any given time without notice. Global Music Awardz is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, postage due, stolen, or misappropriated entries. Global Music Awardz is not responsible for faulty file uploads accompanying online entries.)
2. Global Music Awardz will have 3 top monthly winners, 1st through 3rd place. Each winner will receive a Global Music Awardz Trophy and signed letter of appreciation and acknowledgement. The first place winner each month is entered into the pool for the grand prize. The grand annual award will be held once a year.
4. Winners will be chosen by a select panel of judges comprised of noted songwriters, producers, and music industry professionals. Void where prohibited. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
5. Winners will be notified either by mail, email, or telephone. Winners will receive an affidavit and must sign and return an affidavit of eligibility/recording rights/publicity release within 15 days of notification date. The affidavit will state that the winner's song is original work and he/she holds all rights to song. Failure to sign and return such affidavit within 15 days or provision of false/inaccurate information therein will result in immediate disqualification. Affidavits for winners under 18 years of age at time of award must be countersigned by parent or legal guardian as well as notarized. Affidavits are subject to verification by GMA and its agents. Entry constitutes GMA permission to use winner’s names, likenesses, and voices for future advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation.
6. All entries submitted must be original songs and shall not infringe any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Entrant shall, by entering, indemnify and hold Global Music Awardz harmless from and against any claims inconsistent with the foregoing.
7. Global Music Awardz is open to all amateur and professional songwriters and anyone regardless of nationality or origin.
8. Entrant may submit as many songs as desired in each category. Entrant may also enter the same song in more than one category. It is entrant's responsibility to ensure that the submitted song(s) are complete and playable.
9.Uploads will be screened by Global Music Awardz, and judged by the fans. Then finalists will be sent to the judges who will select the winners. All prizes will be awarded to the artists listed on the upload form. GMA will use its best efforts to announce the winners at the designated time, but will not be held liable for any unforeseen delays.

11. Prizes:

Grand Prize winner will receive a 1st place trophy and a trip for 3 to the city and studio designated by Global Music Awardz at the time of the chosen winner. The following are included in the grand prize.
Three round trip Plane tickets to the city where artist’s music is to be recorded. Two hotel rooms for 5 Days. (Transportation in winning city is the responsibility of the prize winner.) 5 Days in recording studio designated by Global Music Awardz.

Only legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry may participate in this event. This Contest is void where prohibited by law, or where the registration requirements of any state of local jurisdiction have not been complied with.


There will be no transfer or substitution of prizes. All winners agree to release Global Music Awardz and sponsors from all liability regarding prizes won. Prizes will be sent out within a reasonable amount of time, and Global Music Awardz will use its best efforts to send prizes out in a timely fashion. Please note that prizes which are being sent to winners from Sponsors may take longer than prizes sent directly from GMA. If the winner has not received any portion of prizes within 180 days and has not responded to GMA communication, GMA will no longer be responsible for delivery of prizes.
12. Entrant agrees that should his/her song(s) be selected as a winner, GMA shall have the right to include the winning song(s) on a GMA Compilation CD to be used for promotional purposes only. The CD will not be for sale.
13. Entrant retains all ownership rights to all submitted song(s). GMA will not have any ownership rights to any song(s) submitted.
14. Entrant acknowledges that all songs entered may be distributed to judges who will be selecting the winners, and Entrant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold GMA, its sponsors, and judges harmless for liability, damages, or claims for injury or loss to any person or property relating to, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, participation in GMA.
15. Decisions of GMA and its judges which are final and binding in all matters. Entrant agrees to be bound by all terms of these official Rules and Regulations as established herein.

The decision of the judges is final in all matters. Winners notified by electronic mail, must reply with all contact information requested in the notification within (15) days from the date notification was sent, or another winner may be selected.
Limitations of Liability/Reserved Rights: Neither GMA, its parent, subsidiary or affiliate companies, nor its promotional agencies shall have any obligation or responsibility with regard to (i) entries that contain inaccurate information or do not comply with these rules, (ii) entries, prize claims or notifications that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient, in whole or in part, due to computer or technical error of any kind, (iii) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or (iv) any damages or losses of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize. Sponsors, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of this Web site or otherwise violating these rules. Sponsors further reserve the right to cancel, terminate or modify this Contest if this Contest cannot be completed as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort. A list of winners' names will be posted on the Web Site after they are chosen as winners. Contest subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations; void where prohibited or restricted by law. Global Music Awardz reserves the right to change the city in which the winners are sent to record in at anytime during the contest.

All photos, drawings, text, and any other content or information (collectively and severally, "Materials") submitted by you to GMA shall become the sole and exclusive property of GMA, and GMA shall have no obligation to preserve, return, or otherwise make available to you or others any Materials.
GMA may use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, prepare derivative works of, modify, publish, and otherwise make use of Materials in any and all media, whether now known or hereinafter created—throughout the world and for any purpose—without compensation to you of any kind.
By submitting Materials to GMA, you represent and warrant that the Materials do not infringe any copyright, trademark, property rights, rights of privacy or publicity of any person, or any other right of any third party and that you have the full and unrestricted right to transfer the Materials to GMA free and clear of any claims or encumbrances.

GMA reserves the right to condition the award of prizes upon the execution by the winner(s) of a publicity release. Notwithstanding this reserved right, entry is conclusively deemed to be permission by the entrant to use the entrant's name (without compensation to the entrant) if the entrant is a winner to publicize the contest and otherwise, as determined by GMA, unless prohibited by law.

Additionally, the artist or artists involved cannot be signed to any major label. The foregoing requirements will be strictly enforced and any submissions that do not comply with all of the same will be disqualified.
Right to Broadcast MP3 Submissions on www.musicawardz.com. By submitting an MP3 file to the contest, entrant agrees to grant GMA the non-exclusive right to make available entrants name and MP3 music submission on GMA’s web sites in perpetuity without compensation. Entrant grants to GMA the non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to digitize its audio recording, and to reproduce, publicly perform, publicly display, and/or distribute the Recordings in digital audio format (in streaming or downloadable form) on a global computer network (known as the Internet) via Global Music Awardz main web site and co-branded sub-sites. Additionally, entrant agrees that it grants GMA the non-exclusive right to make available entrants MP3 music submission on GMA’s web sites and partner sites in perpetuity. Except where legally prohibited, submission of an entry into this Contest constitutes permission for GMA to use the entrants name, photograph, likeness, voice, address (city and state) and testimonials in printed, broadcast media or new media, for three years, in any manner they deem appropriate in connection with promoting the MP3 submission itself of this contest, without further compensation in connection with this Contest and the prize awarded.



You acknowledge and agree that Materials submitted by you may be made available by GMA for viewing, rating, reviewing, and commenting by the public. You acknowledge that comments or ratings that you disagree with or are unhappy about may be published or otherwise become associated with Materials that you submit to GMA. By submitting Materials to GMA, you waive any privacy expectations that you may have with respect to the Materials.
You agree to hold GMA and its officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, and assigns harmless from and against—and hereby waive any right to pursue—any claims of any nature arising in connection with GMA use of the Materials submitted to GMA and used in any manner in GMA’s sole and absolute discretion.
Contests involving evaluations of Materials submitted as part of the contest will be judged entirely in the sole and absolute discretion of GMA. Decisions by GMA are final.


Neither GMA or its officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, or assigns shall be liable for any warranty, costs, damage, injury, or any other claims incurred as a result of the usage of a prize by any winner. GMA is not liable for any loss arising out of or in connection with any contest promoted by GMA.
If the specified prize becomes unavailable for any reason, GMA in its sole and absolute discretion may or may not substitute a prize of like or equal value.
A contest is null and void in any jurisdiction where prohibited by law.
GMA reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to terminate any contest at any time without prior notice.
GMA reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to alter any contest rules at any time without prior notice.

All entrants further agree that in the event of any third-party claims, damages, losses or injuries, arising from or relating to this Contest, they will indemnify GMA from any and all such claims, including the attorneys' fees related thereto.
This Contest shall be governed by California law.


OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. Excluding states that prohibit the participation in such an event. If artist enters into the event without checking state laws, GMA is not responsible.


Album Art Category:
Album art and graphic design will be judged upon overall appearance, design, and originality. Album art/design category is subject to different prize and or prizes. There will be 3 monthly winners in this category; the first place winner will receive the GMA trophy as well as be entered into the annual grand prize event of a new Laptop Computer.

By entering this contest, you conclusively are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these contest rules and terms and conditions as well as by any rules specific to such contest. This is an irrevocable condition of entry.

We try our best to make this a fair and honest contest. We do not believe in artists creating fake fan profiles to vote for themselves, or having friends vote multiple times for there song. We do are best to screen this kind of activity. However, we cannot catch everyone, and are not liable in the event that it happens. If you are caught having participated in this kind of "Fake Voting" you will be removed from the event and no refunds will be issued.
